Sustainable Materials Initiative Shows 20% Cost Savings in Recent Project

BASE’s Sustainable Materials Initiative has demonstrated cost savings of up to 20% in recent structural projects across Dhaka. In partnership with local suppliers, BASE encouraged the use of materials like bamboo-reinforced concrete and recycled steel. Studies from pilot projects reveal these materials not only reduced costs but also lowered the carbon footprint by 15%. BASE aims to encourage widespread adoption by offering training sessions for interested firms.
